Description Simtars the (Safety In Mines Testing and Research Station) is a world leader in mining, gas and petroleum industry health and safety, and a world leader in underground coal mine gas monitoring systems. Simtars comprises four centers of excellence that provide an expert resource and facilities in engineering, environmental, occupation health and safety, training and a range of laboratory services. Simtars mine gas analysis software is used by the majority of underground coal mines in Australia.
