Registered Professional Engineer, Florida Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) – 30 years SME Professional Registration Committee – 1998 to present, (Chairperson 2001) SME Florida Section Chairman – 2006-7 Conference Chairperson (2007), Technical Chairperson (three years), Session Chair (two years), and Speaker, Florida Annual Regional Phosphate Conference. Florida Institute of Phosphate Research – Beneficiation Technical Advisory Committee, 1997 to present University of Florida, Engineering Research Center Industrial Advisory Board, 1998-2001.

About The GEM Individual Archive Award:

The GEM Award was established in 1978 to recognize outstanding contributions to the SME Government, Education and Mining (GEM) program within the defined scope of GEM activities. The award is made for activities at the Local Section level only. Election to this honor is by the GEM Committee with notification to the SME Executive Committee.
