For his excellent contributions to the Coal Industry and Academia as a teacher, mining engineer, and researcher; his efforts in establishing a Generic Center for Research on Respirable Dust Control; his contributions to coal miner’s training and for his devoted service to the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.
