Council of Education and Accreditation and Rahn Award Committee 
The Council of Education & Accreditation shall review and refer information and projects to the education subcommittees (Accreditation and Curricular Issues, Research Sub-Committee and Student Member Affairs), receive and act when appropriate upon recommendations of the education subcommittees and Education Forum, and determine educational policy to be recommended to the SME Board of Directors. The Council of Education & Accreditation also serves as the Ivan B. Rahn Education Award Committee. The Council of Education shall find a nominee whose contribution merits the award. Recipients of the award shall be selected through a nominating and voting process by the Council of Education with notification to the SME Executive Committee.
