Did you miss the August Webinar?

Luis Piek, Geotechnical Design Manager for the San Francisco Central Subway Project, presented a webinar on August 29 detailing the Lake Mead Intake No. 3 project, which was one of most complex and challenging tunneling operations ever attempted. The 7.1m diameter multi-mode TBM holed through into a 100 ft. tall precast concrete intake that was secured to the bottom of the lake. If you missed this exciting webinar, you can find the complete story by Jim Nickerson, Roberto Bono, Claudio Cimiotti and Erika Moonin in the September issue of T&UC.
