Call for nominations for 2014 awards

SME administers and presents numerous recognition awards for outstanding individual and group achievements in the minerals industry. These awards and their recipients represent the highest levels of commitment and expertise that have come to symbolize the vitality of SME as a professional society. SME will begin accepting nominations for our 2014 awards on April 1. Recipients will be recognized during SME’s 2015 Annual Conference & Expo held February 15-18, 2015 in Denver, CO.

Mining Project Finance – a short course

Richard Tinsley’s short course, Mining Project Finance (April 27), uses a case study format to address why banks are central to many project financings; at which stage to pursue exploration, development and operation; credit analysis criteria such as economic rent; reserves; capital markets; how project finance can go wrong and how political risk impacts and influences financing.
