Casino Night in Seattle, February 19, 2012!! With 21 sponsored tables and a record 324 attendees, the SME Foundation Annual Dinner was a success by all accounts.
Our table sponsors deserve much of the thanks! Their sponsorships offset the cost of the reception and dinner; and they provided some great gadgets in for our “goodie” bags. We look forward to your sponsorship again next year and will certainly welcome any other sponsors to make the SME Foundation dinner THE place to kick off the annual meeting.

The big winners of the casino play participated in a raffle for an Ipad, GoPro camera, Sheraton hotel stay, mineral specimen and Tom Tom. Congratulations to the lucky winners! The bucket auction was also a fundraising success. Fourteen auction prizes went home with some lucky winners.
The Silent Auction on the exhibit floor was also a success this year. We thank all those who donated items. The booth was buzzing with excitement as everyone milled around to be the last bidder on their favorite items to make sure they took them home. The Silent Auction raised about $19,000 this year and the bucket auction from the Sunday festivities raised $3,200. Thank you to those that donated items to make our auction a success.

Congratulations to our annual raffle winner, Sarah Lupton, from Butte, MT, a student at Montana Tech. She is the very happy owner of a gift card to Best Buy for $2,500. The raffle prize was generously donated by Agapito Associates. Thank you to everyone that supported us by purchasing a ticket or two for this drawing. We raised $ 4,705 from this for the Foundation Professional Engineering Exam Program. The lucky winner of the Ipad raffle at the SMEF booth was Greg Magdanz from Raleigh, NC.
