The subject of kinetics is of great economic and technical importance. If a plant is producing a certain product by a process that involves a slow chemical reaction, the productivity will be low and the rate of return on the investment will also be low.

In fast reactions, the residence time of material in reactors will be short and the productivity increases.

It is, therefore, important to know what are the factors that govern the rates of processes, and when a process is slow, what could be done to accelerate it if at all possible.

In this course, you learn kinetics is a useful tool to study the mechanism of a reaction.

There is no final assessment.
CEU/PDH is based upon course completion and a certificate is awarded upon completion.
