PAY RANGE:

$70,000 - $80,000 DOE

BONUS:

8% bonus potential based upon achievement of defined goals

401(K):

3% automatic safe-harbor match plus 80% elective deferral match of the first 5% contributed by the employee

SCHEDULE:

Hybrid work schedule – 2 Days in the office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), up to 3 Days Remote

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure management, DHCP networking protocol, and virtualization platforms. You will play a critical role in maintaining the cloud infrastructure, supporting the migration of legacy systems to virtualized environments, and implementing disaster recovery procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management and Maintenance:

    • Monitor cloud infrastructure and assist with maintenance for optimal performance
    • Assist with planning and executing migrations from physical systems to virtualized environments
    • Ensure cloud infrastructure and website registrations follow company policies and regulations
    • Maintain website registrations and security certificates for the company 
    • Document technical processes and systems for future reference

    Virtualization Platforms:

    • Support the migration of legacy systems to a virtualized environment, working alongside the Systems Administrator
    • Install, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms with support
    • Create and manage virtual machines, storage, and networks

    Windows Server Environment Administration:

    • Configure and manage Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and IIS systems with support
    • Manage SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange in O365 with support

    Incident Response and Disaster Recovery:

    • Monitor cloud infrastructure for potential issues and assist with implementing preventative measures
    • Collaborate with the Systems Administrator to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems
    • Assist in developing and testing disaster recovery procedures for cloud backup solutions, critical systems and data
    • Participate in incident response activities, including root cause analysis and resolution documentation
    • Stay up to date with the latest troubleshooting and disaster recovery technologies and techniques

    Team Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with the Systems Administrator on a day-to-day basis and interface with the web development team
    • Take direction from the IT Manager to ensure that projects are aligned with the overall IT strategy
    • Support and facilitate on-premises storage that is backed up to a cloud environment
    • Provide technical support and guidance to staff alongside IT team
    • Participate in regular meetings with the IT team and other departments as needed 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or network security
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix
  • Strong familiarity with standard networking protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DHCP, FTP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience in data protection (backup, restore, replication, disaster recovery)
  • Knowledge of DNS and SSL management, network management and security protocols
  • Familiarity with common databases (Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL) and O365 applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange)
  • Microsoft MCSA/MCSE certification in Windows Server (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities
