2015 Rapid Excavation & Tunneling Conference
RETC is the renowned international forum for developments and advances in underground construction. The conference will be held June 7-10, 2015 at the Sheraton New Orleans. More than 1,400 registrants from 30 countries will be attending to observe the latest innovations in equipment and advancing technologies. Industry leaders from around the world have submitted 113 papers, with a proceedings that will allow attendees to learn how to put these best practices into place.

| Tom Butler Appointed Pres and CEO of ICMM |

Tom Butler, former Global Head of Mining at the International Finance Corporation, has been appointed as the new President and CEO of ICMM in London. Butler brings a wealth of private and public sector experience in extractives, and a deep commitment to sustainable development and responsible practice in the mining and metals industry. At the IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, he oversaw the financing of mining, exploration and development in emerging market countries. |

The proceedings of the 37th International Symposium, held May 23-27, 2015, are now available!
The symposium series on the Application of Computers and Operations Research in the Mineral Industry (APCOM) was initiated by The University of Arizona in 1961. Since then APCOM has become an international forum for presentation, discussion, and criticism of the state-of-the-art and emerging technologies in the fields of computer and operations research applications applied to the broad minerals industry.
