$55,000 - $70,000 DOE

BONUS:

8% bonus potential based upon achievement of defined goals

401(K):

SUMMARY

This is a hands-on position within the information systems team with a primary focus on technical support for the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration’s (SME) association management system (AMS). This includes the following 5 areas; 1. Staff Support, 2. System and software maintenance, 3. Reports, 4. Database/SQL support and 5. Development.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff Support:

  • Respond to, troubleshoot, route and ensure timely closure of AMS support tickets.
  • Work with the SME’s business analyst, Personify’s support staff, and other IT team members to assist in resolving AMS related problems.
  • Create and maintain system and project documentation as required. Including updating SME’s knowledge base and provide training to staff.

System and Software maintenance:

  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of SME’s AMS.
  • Assist in create new products in the AMS, collaborating with the business analyst, the finance team and product owners, this includes, meetings, inventoried products, webinars, subscriptions, new and renewing memberships.
  • Coordinate with the business analyst and the IS manager to thoroughly test any upgrades, migrations, new features, etc., with documented results and organized communication to staff and technical partners.

Reports:

  • Gather report requirements, create, maintain and schedule necessary reports (as required) using Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects Data Analyzer to address requests submitted by customers.

  • Create and Maintain universes, views and other possible data subsets.
  • Create widgets, dashboards, etc. per request.

Database/SQL Support

  • Data handling and diagnostic skills and abilities to work with real-world datasets to produce meaningful business information that meets the requestor’s need.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with computerized information systems particularly, SQL database applications and Microsoft office applications
  • Technical competence in relational database concepts and SQL language with the ability to assist in designing and developing queries, stored procedures, views, datasets for analysis as well as developing, writing, testing and executing scripts.

Development:

  • Work with SME’s business analyst and the web development team to help develop small scale applications using Personify’s API’s, web services, and data services for web access and database integration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. 
  • 3 years of experience in systems analysis and/or support working with Association Management Systems.  
  • Experience in developing, using:  MS SQL, including understanding of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, primary and foreign keys, relationships, triggers and ability to write scripts for same.
  • Possess a strong technical and working knowledge of current database software, protocols, and standards, including SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Report development, SAP Business Objects.
  • Development skills web-service calls and API interfaces.
 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Personify experience a plus.
